Folkes Home Services, a top-rated provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services for over 30 years, is looking for a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team in Fishkill, NY. Job Responsibilities

• On-the-Job Training – Work alongside licensed electricians to gain experience in residential electrical installation, service, and troubleshooting

• Install & Service Support – Assist with installing and repairing electrical panels, outlets, lighting systems, wiring, and backup generators

• Material Handling – Load and organize tools, parts, and equipment for daily jobsite use

• Safety Compliance – Follow all OSHA and company safety standards when working with power tools and live circuits

• Jobsite Clean-Up – Maintain clean and safe workspaces throughout the day

• Code Awareness – Learn about local and national electrical codes to help ensure code-compliant installations

• Customer Support – Represent Folkes professionally when onsite and assist with basic customer interactions as directed by the lead electrician

• Documentation – Learn to use software tools like ServiceTitan to record job status, materials used, and service notes

Qualifications

• Eagerness to Learn – No prior experience required, but interest in electrical systems and a career in the trades is essential

• Mechanical Aptitude – Basic knowledge of tools and comfort working with your hands

• Physical Ability – Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces, attics, and outdoor conditions

• Dependable Work Ethic – Reliable, coachable, and ready to show up every day with a positive attitude

• Strong Communication Skills – Able to take direction, work well on a team, and speak with customers when needed

• Valid Driver’s License – Clean driving record preferred for long-term advancement opportunities
